If you head down Fish Market Road in Fathenagar, you’ll find us at 10-1-4/A. We’re right near the railway bridge, which means the whole place shakes a little every time a train goes over. It’s across from Dwaraka Industries, so we get a lot of workers from there wandering over during their breaks. Being near the fish market means the air has a very specific smell, especially in the mornings, but you get used to it pretty fast. We focus on wood working tools. The shop is usually covered in a thin layer of fine sawdust, no matter how much we sweep. We have all kinds of blades, chisels, and planes hanging on the walls. Most of the people who come in are carpenters or guys who like to build furniture in their sheds at home. They like to come in and feel the weight of a tool before they buy it, which makes sense. We’ve got a small workbench in the back where we sometimes test things out. It’s not a fancy place, and the floor is a bit uneven in spots, but it’s a good spot for people who actually work with their hands. We stay busy with the local crowd and the occasional person who got lost looking for the market. We don’t do much advertising; people just know we’re here by the bridge. We’ve been here long enough that we’re just part of the local scenery, along with the noise of the trains and the smell of the market.
