The Junkyard Cafe

You can find us at J2/12 in Rajouri Garden, right on the second floor. Being in B K Dutt Market means there is always noise and people shouting or cars honking outside The Junkyard Cafe. We are used to it by now though. The stairs up to the second floor can be a little steep but once you are up there, you can look down at the street. Rajouri is a crowded part of Delhi and 110027 is a busy pin code to work in. We set this place up with a lot of different things we found and it has a bit of a strange look, but people seem to like sitting there. We start our day by moving the chairs around and getting the kitchen staff ready. It gets really loud in the evenings when the market is full of shoppers. We don't have any fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just open the doors and let people in. Sometimes the plumbing gives us trouble or a light bulb flickers, but we fix it when we can. It is a lot of work running a place in Rajouri Garden because the competition is everywhere, but we just stick to what we know. We are just a local spot on the second floor where you can get away from the street level for a little while.
