Chakho Ji Restaurant

Chakho Ji Restaurant is at K 39, Main Rajapuri Road in Uttam Nagar, Delhi. We’re right across from Dwarka Sector 5. If you know this part of Delhi, you know how much traffic there is. Our little place is right in the middle of all that movement. We started this restaurant because we wanted to have a spot where locals could get a good meal without a lot of fuss. It’s mostly a family-run thing. We’re here from early morning until late at night. We spend a lot of time in the kitchen, which can get pretty crowded and hot during the summer. We don't have any fancy gadgets, just the usual stoves and pans. The tables are just simple wood and the chairs are basic. We don't have a big staff, so everyone chips in with the cleaning and the serving. It can get pretty loud with the horns honking outside, but we’ve gotten used to it over time. We get our vegetables from the market nearby every single day. It’s a lot of work to keep everything running, especially when things break down or the rain starts coming in through the front. We don't have a website or do any big promotions. People just see us when they’re walking by or driving home from work. It’s a plain, honest place to eat. We just try to keep the food decent and the prices fair.
