Ballu Pistol Da Dhaba is at Shop Number 22 in the DDA Market of J Block, Rajouri Garden. We are right opposite the Surya Continental hotel in Delhi 110027. It’s a lively part of the city and there is always something going on. We are a small dhaba tucked away in the market. The name gets people talking, but we are just a normal food stall. I’ve been running this place since my father retired. We have a small kitchen area and a few tables on the sidewalk. It’s a bit cramped but that’s how it is in Rajouri Garden. We use a lot of butter in our cooking because that’s what people like here. The market can get very messy during the monsoon when it rains a lot. We have an old plastic sheet we pull out to keep the customers dry. We don't have any fancy plating or service. You get your food on steel plates and you find a spot to sit. The traffic on the main road is always loud. Sometimes the neighbors argue about parking spaces, but we stay out of it. We just focus on keeping the tandoor hot. We don't have a printed menu, so we just tell people what we’ve got. It’s an honest way to make a living and we have a lot of regular customers who come by every evening. We stay open late into the night. We aren't trying to be fancy, just serving food.
