I've been running this business in West Delhi for quite a few years now. Most of our days are spent hauling heavy iron poles and large rolls of fabric around. It is tough work, especially when the sun is beating down, but we are used to it. We started out just doing small tents for local birthdays, but now we handle bigger things too. Along with the tents, we started doing catering and decorations because people kept asking for it. It made sense to offer everything together. My team is mostly guys from the neighborhood who have been with me since the start. We don't have a fancy office or a marketing person. Most people just find us by seeing our trucks around West Delhi or hearing about us from a neighbor. We just show up, set the stage, get the food cooking, and make sure the lights are working. It is not always perfect, sometimes a truck gets stuck in traffic or a light bulb flickers, but we fix it fast. We just want to make sure the family hosting the party doesn't have to worry about the chairs or the snacks. It’s a local business, run by local people. We know these streets well and we know what people around here expect. We just keep our heads down and do the work as best as we can. It’s been a long journey from where we started, but we are still here.
