Shri Ram Udyog

Shri Ram Udyog is located at 278-A in Peera Garhi, right along the Outer Ring Road. Being on such a big road means there is always noise from the cars and buses passing by. Our building is an older one. We’ve been here since the area was a lot quieter than it is now. We do a mix of things here, mostly focusing on industrial supplies and some small-scale manufacturing. The workspace is in the back, and the front part is where we talk to people who come in. It’s a bit cluttered with boxes and metal scraps. We don’t have a lot of staff, just a few of us who have known each other for years. We usually have tea together in the afternoon while we look over the orders. The work isn't very glamorous. It involves a lot of heavy lifting and getting our hands dirty. We deal with vendors from all over the city. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the traffic on the ring road, but that’s just how it goes here. We don't have a website or anything like that. Most people just call us or drop by when they are driving past. We keep the doors open to let some air in, even if it brings in the exhaust from the street. It’s just an honest day’s work for us. We like being part of the Peera Garhi community and seeing the familiar faces every day.
