Shri Gupta Store

Shri Gupta Store is located at S 1/177 in Old Mahavir Nagar, right on the main road. We are directly opposite the 20 Block Pishori Gurudwara. You can often hear the sounds coming from the Gurudwara while we are working, which is quite nice during the day. This part of Mahavir Nagar and Tilak Nagar is always moving, with cars and rickshaws going past the front door constantly. We sell all the basic provisions like flour, pulses, and cooking oils. The shop gets quite dusty because of the main road, so we are always wiping things down. It’s a family effort to keep everything running. My brother handles the heavy bags of grain while I stay at the counter. We have some regular customers who have been coming to us for years, and we know exactly what they want before they even ask. Sometimes the supply of certain things gets low, and we have to wait for the truck to come from the wholesale market, which can be frustrating. The space inside is quite packed with bags and boxes, so you have to watch your step. We don't have any big signs or bright lights, just the items we sell and a place for people to get their daily needs. It’s just a steady job, opening up every morning and closing down after dark, serving the local people who live in these blocks. We keep things going as best we can.
