Savour India is based in the DDA Market on Jail Road, at unit number 24. If you’ve ever been to Jail Road, you know the traffic can be a total nightmare, especially in the evenings. Our shop and office are right in the middle of all that action. It’s a small space, so we have to be very organized with where we put everything. We handle a lot of food products, so there are boxes stacked almost to the ceiling sometimes. It’s a bit cramped, but it works for what we need. We get a lot of walk-ins because of the market location, which keeps us on our toes. There isn't really a quiet moment until we close the shutters at night. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks or have a polished sales team. It’s just us talking to customers and making sure the orders are correct. The staff is like a small family; we argue sometimes about where the tape went or who finished the milk, but we get the job done. We’ve been in this market for a long time, so we know all the other shopkeepers around us. It’s a hard-working environment and we don’t try to pretend it’s anything else. We just show up, sell our products, and go home.
