Our place is at A - 28 in Mayapuri Industrial Area Phase - Ii. If you’ve ever been to Mayapuri, you know it’s a lot of heavy metal, grease, and people moving things around. Mahalaxmi International operates out of a regular industrial unit that’s seen its share of work. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. It’s mostly about managing shipments and making sure the inventory is where it belongs. The floors are concrete and usually have some scuff marks from moving crates. We get a lot of noise from the neighboring units, but you get used to it after a week or two. It’s not the kind of place you’d come to see a showroom. It’s a working warehouse and office. We spend most of our time on the phone or checking lists against what’s sitting on the pallets. The tea stall down the road is where most of us head when we need a break from the heat. Mayapuri is a tough area, very industrial, but it suits us just fine. We have a few desks tucked in the back where the paperwork happens. Sometimes the trucks get stuck in the narrow lanes outside, which can be a real headache. But we just deal with it and keep moving. It’s practical work. We’ve been at this address for a while and the routine stays pretty much the same day in and day out.
