Rustam Furniture Mart

Rustam Furniture Mart is our shop at D-13 in Sewak Park, Uttam Nagar. We spend most of our time here surrounded by wood, tools, and finished pieces. It is a local business, so we don't have a giant warehouse or a glossy catalog. What you see when you walk into D-13 is what we are working on that day. There is usually sawdust on the floor and the smell of varnish in the air. Uttam Nagar is a busy area, and Sewak Park has a lot of life to it. We’ve been here long enough that people in the neighborhood know where to find us. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most of the folks who come in are just locals or people who heard about us from a neighbor. The shop is a bit small, so we have to be careful how we arrange the furniture so people can actually walk through. It is just a regular place where we make and sell chairs, tables, and whatever else people need for their homes. We don't pretend to be anything more than a neighborhood furniture mart. We just show up every morning, open the doors, and get to work on the next piece. It’s a simple life and we like being part of the Sewak Park community. We just keep our tools sharp and our eyes on the wood we are cutting. Some days the hammer is heavy, but we keep going.
