Rachna Industries

We’ve been at Vishnu Garden for a while now. The workshop is right on Gurudwara Bhatta Sahib Road, and you can’t miss it if you’re looking for Iii-B/98. It gets pretty busy around here during the day with the trucks coming in and out. Most of the guys on the floor have been with us for years, so they know the machines inside out. We do a lot of metal work and parts manufacturing for various clients. It’s not a fancy place by any means, just a regular shop floor with lathes and presses running most of the time. My father started things out quite small and we just kept going from there without making too many big changes. The neighbors know us as Rachna Industries. We don't really do much advertising or marketing. People usually find us through word of mouth or if they’re just driving down the road and happen to see the sign hanging out front. Sometimes the power goes out during those hot summer afternoons and we just have to sit outside and wait it out, but that's just part of life in this area. We try to keep the floors clean but when you’re working with heavy iron and oil, it’s a constant battle that we usually lose by noon. We handle orders for local distributors mostly. If you come by, you’ll probably find me at the back desk or helping out with a machine. It’s loud and dusty, but we get the jobs finished eventually.
