Our office is located in Nalanda Apartments, specifically in Flat Number 56 of D Block, over in Vikaspuri, New Delhi. Since we are in an apartment complex, it feels very different from a standard office building. We have neighbors living all around us, and you can always hear the sounds of the city and the families nearby. The flat isn’t very big, so we’ve had to be clever with how we arrange our desks and equipment. We use the main living area as our primary workspace, and the smaller rooms are for storage and more desks. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze, especially when we have a lot of work going on, but it keeps us all close. We have a small balcony with a few pots of plants, although they struggle with the Delhi dust and heat. We don’t have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If someone comes to see us, they just ring the doorbell like they would at any other home. We make our own tea and coffee in the small kitchen. It’s a very informal atmosphere. We don’t really wear suits or anything like that; we just dress for the weather and the day. Delhi is a fast-paced place, but we try to keep things manageable inside our four walls. It’s a practical way to run things, and it suits the kind of work we do. We just focus on getting the day’s tasks finished.
