Our office for Dlf Laingorourke Ltd. is over at 205 in the Police Line Colony area of Vikas Puri. It’s a decent spot in New Delhi, situated in a part of the neighborhood that feels a bit more settled and quiet. The office is small and tucked away, which means it doesn’t get too much noise from the main roads, though you still hear the usual city hum in the background. We’ve been here for a good while, and the space has become filled with all the bits and pieces that accumulate in a working office—half-empty pens, stacks of old notebooks, and calendars that are usually a month behind. We don’t put much effort into the decor because we’re usually too busy with the actual work. Our team is small, and we mostly just keep to ourselves, focusing on whatever project is currently on the desk. The commute through West Delhi can be a bit of a nightmare during the morning rush, so most of us arrive a little tired but ready to get started once we’ve had some hot tea. There’s nothing particularly special about the building, but it’s sturdy and keeps the rain off our heads during the monsoon. We handle the daily grind of administrative tasks and coordination without needing any extra bells or whistles. It’s just a place where we put in our hours and try to do a solid job before heading out for the evening to see our families.
