Nischal Store

Living and working in Paschim Vihar means you see a lot of the same people every single day. Our shop, Nischal Store, is tucked away here and it’s basically where I spend most of my waking hours. It isn't a huge place, just a regular local spot where the shelves are packed from the floor to the ceiling. Honestly, sometimes it’s hard to find where I put the smaller items because there is just so much shoved into the corners. I usually open up early before the sun gets too hot. The neighbors come by for their milk or maybe some snacks for their kids. It’s not like those big corporate places where everything is perfectly lined up. Here, things might be a little out of place, but we know where everything is if you ask. The fan in the back makes a bit of a clicking noise that I’ve stopped noticing lately. Dealing with the distributors is probably the hardest part of the job, trying to make sure they actually bring what we ordered. Paschim Vihar has changed a lot, but this little shop stays pretty much the same. I spend a lot of time just chatting with people about the weather or the traffic. It’s a simple life, running a store like this. You just keep the inventory moving and try to keep the place organized enough so people can walk through. It's nothing special, but it's ours. We usually close up once the street gets quiet.
