New Gurbachan Store

You can find us over at N-33-33A in West Patel Nagar. We are right near the O Block booster pump, which is how most people find their way here if they get lost in the lanes. Block N is a busy residential area, so we see a lot of the same faces every single day. The store isn’t huge, but we try to keep it stocked with the essentials that families around here use. Sometimes it feels like we are constantly unpacking bundles of stuff just to fill the gaps on the shelves. The morning starts early before the sun gets too strong, and we usually have a few people waiting for bread or eggs right away. The booster pump nearby makes a bit of noise, but it’s just part of the background of the neighborhood now. We don’t really do anything fancy here. It’s just a regular store where you can grab what you need and go. The flooring is a bit old and the shelves have been there for years, but they hold everything up just fine. On rainy days, the lane gets a bit muddy, but people still make their way over. We spend our time checking the dates on packets and chatting with the neighbors who stop by for a minute. It’s a simple life, just running a shop in Patel Nagar and keeping track of what’s in stock. I suppose the work is repetitive, but it’s what we know. Most of our days are spent just making sure nothing runs out.
