Nawab'S

Nawab'S is right in the middle of the Timber Block in Kirti Nagar. We are at 1/115-116. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know it smells like fresh cut wood and sawdust. We’ve been working with timber for a long time. The shop is full of planks and logs of different sizes. It's a messy business. We have sawdust on our shoes and in our hair by the end of the day. We don't have a fancy office. It’s just a desk in the corner of the workspace. We spend most of the time talking to carpenters and people looking to build stuff for their homes. The street outside is always blocked with trucks loading and unloading. It can be a real pain to get anything moved. We just do our best to keep the stock organized, but it’s hard when new wood is coming in all the time. We aren't big on talk. We just show people the wood and tell them the price. The machines for cutting can be quite loud, so we have to shout sometimes to be heard. It’s a tough way to make a living but we’ve been doing it so long we don't know anything else. We stay open late most nights to finish up the orders. It's just honest work we do.
