Metro Gears & Machinery Tools

We’ve been at 142/16 Bali Nagar Basai Road for quite a long time now. Bada Bazar is always crowded, so getting stuff delivered can be a bit of a headache sometimes. My father started this place dealing in gears and small machinery tools, and we’ve mostly just kept it going the same way. The shop isn't very big, and the shelves are usually overflowing with metal parts and grease. People come in looking for specific teeth counts for their machines, and we spend half the day digging through boxes to find the right one. It gets pretty dusty here with the road construction nearby, but that’s just how it is in this part of town. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s just a counter, a few stools, and stacks of inventory reaching up to the ceiling. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside and talk to the tea seller next door until it comes back on. We know most of the mechanics around here by name since they’ve been buying from us since the eighties. It’s a lot of manual work, moving heavy crates around, but we are used to the grind. The address is easy to find if you know the landmark, though the traffic on Basai Road makes it slow going. We try to keep things organized, but in a place like Bada Bazar, things just tend to pile up. It’s a simple life.
