We are over here in Shop No-4 at A-1, right near the Gurudwara in Paschim Vihar. Most people know the spot because of the temple nearby. It’s been our little corner for a while now. The shop isn’t huge but we keep it packed with what people usually ask for. You know how it is, someone comes in for a strip of something and stays to talk about the weather or the traffic outside. We spend a lot of time sorting through boxes and making sure the fridge for the cold stuff is running okay. Sometimes the power goes out in the afternoon and we just sit there with the door open. My cousin helps out sometimes when it gets busy in the evenings. We try to keep the shelves tidy but with all the new stock coming in every Tuesday, it’s a bit of a mess sometimes. The floor gets dusty fast because of the road, so we sweep a lot. It’s just a normal pharmacy where we know most of the faces that walk through the door. Usually, it’s just the same families from the block. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that, just the medicines and some basic things like band-aids or soap. It’s quiet in the mornings before the clinics open up around here. Then it picks up. We just keep doing what we do every day without much fuss.
