Our workshop is situated at Wh-49 in Phase 1 of Mayapuri. If you know Mayapuri, you know it is a place where people really work with their hands. We are surrounded by other shops and factories, so the sound of saws and hammers is basically the background music of our lives. We make all kinds of furniture right here in this space. There is always sawdust on our clothes and in our hair by the time we head home. We have piles of wood stacked up against the walls, waiting to be cut and joined. It is a practical kind of place, not a showroom with bright lights and carpets. We show people what we are working on right there on the shop floor. Sometimes the delivery trucks have a hard time getting into the lane because it is so narrow and full of other vehicles. We spend our days measuring, sanding, and putting things together. It is hard work on the back and the knees, but we have been doing it this way for years. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. If someone needs a table or a cupboard, they just walk in and talk to us. We give them a price, tell them how long it will take, and then we get started. It’s just how things move here in Phase 1 and we are used to the dust.
