M M K Engineering

We are over at Mayapuri Industrial Area Phase II. The shop is at F 62 in Phase 2. M M K Engineering has been here for years. Mayapuri is a tough place, and there is lots of scrap and heavy metal moving around. Our floor is always busy with something. It’s not a quiet office environment at all. We have grease on our hands most of the time. That’s just part of being in engineering work. We started out small and we have stayed that way mostly. The area around F 62 is always crowded with tempos and workers. It’s hard to find a place to park sometimes. We just do the jobs that come our way. People from the city come here when they need something fixed or made from metal. We don't use big words to describe it. It's just manual work and machines. Some of our equipment is getting old, but it still runs fine. We fix the machines ourselves when they break down. It’s a bit messy inside with tools scattered about, but we know where everything is. We don't have a receptionist. If you walk in, you just talk to whoever is nearest to the door. We usually have the radio on in the background. It keeps the guys going. Life in Mayapuri is fast and dusty. We just try to keep up with the pace and make sure the parts we make are alright for the customers.
