Laxmi Bartan

Laxmi Bartan is located at B-48B in the Amanpuri area. We deal in all sorts of kitchen utensils and household items. The shop is filled from floor to ceiling with stainless steel plates, pressure cookers, and spoons. It can be a bit of a tight squeeze when a few customers come in at once. We spend a lot of time polishing the display items so they stay shiny under the lights. Amanpuri is a lively neighborhood, so there is always someone walking by or stopping to ask about the price of a kadai. We have been here for a while and know most of the people on this block. It is a very hands-on job because people like to pick up the pots and feel the weight before they buy anything. We do not have a computer system or anything high-tech; we just write things down in a notebook. Sometimes the boxes in the back get a bit disorganized, but we eventually find what we are looking for. The shop gets a bit dusty because the street is right outside, so we are always dusting things off. It is a basic, honest shop for local families. We open up early in the morning and stay until the street lights come on. It is just about providing everyday things that people need for their kitchens. No fancy talk or complicated sales.
