Laxmi Bartan Bhandar

Laxmi Bartan Bhandar is located on Main Rohtak Road in Nangloi. You can find us right near the Bank of Baroda, specifically at Khasra Number-32/16. Being on the main road means it is incredibly busy and loud from the moment we open until we close the shutters at night. We sell all kinds of kitchen utensils, so the shop is full of the sound of clanking metal. We have stacks of steel plates, brass pots, and aluminum cookers everywhere. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze to walk through the aisles sometimes because we try to keep as much stock as possible on the floor. People from the local neighborhood and nearby villages come in to buy things for their kitchens or for weddings. We spend a lot of time showing different sizes of pots and explaining why one is heavier than the other. It’s honest work and we enjoy talking to the customers who come in. We don't have any fancy computer systems for the most part; we still do a lot of things the old way with paper receipts. The shop gets a bit dusty with all the traffic on Rohtak Road, so we are constantly wiping down the shine on the new steel. It’s just a family-run feel where we show up, sell our goods, and go home to get ready for the next day.
