At Gpc Medical, our day revolves around the boxes piled up in our space at G-3 in Vikaspur. It’s not a very large office, but it’s packed from floor to ceiling with supplies. We spend a lot of time checking labels and making sure the right items go into the right crates. The street outside can get pretty cramped with delivery vans trying to find a spot to park. Sometimes we have to run out and help them unload when they’re blocking the way. Inside, it’s mostly the sound of tape dispensers and the phone ringing. We don't have a receptionist in a suit; usually, whoever is closest to the desk just picks it up. The walls are white and a bit scuffed from moving pallets around over the months. We keep a small kettle in the back for coffee, which helps during the long afternoons. It gets a bit chilly in the winter here, so we all wear our heavy sweaters while we work. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the decor. Our focus is just on the inventory and making sure the paperwork is sorted. Most of the people working here have been around for years, so we know the routine by heart. It’s a steady kind of job, and we like the neighborhood well enough, even if the parking is a total nightmare.
