Goval General Store

You can find Goval General Store sitting right near the bus stop by Nayan Mandir in Uttam Nagar. It’s a handy location for anyone waiting for their ride. I see the same faces every morning when people are heading to work and every evening when they come back. I keep a good mix of items in the shop, like shampoos, soaps, snacks, and various kitchen essentials. Uttam Nagar is quite a crowded place, and our little corner near the mandir is always full of activity. The bells from the temple provide a nice background sound while I’m working. I don’t have any fancy marketing plans or a website. I just open the doors and help whoever walks in. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cluttered because I keep adding new things that people ask for. If a customer wants a specific brand of tea, I’ll try to get it from the wholesaler the next time I go. My hands are usually a bit dirty from moving boxes around, but that’s part of the job. We have a small stool behind the counter where I sit when things are slow, but that doesn't happen often. The floor is a bit uneven, and the paint is peeling in a few spots, but it doesn't bother the customers. They just want their groceries at a decent price. It’s a simple life running this store and being part of the community.
