You can find Fluor Daniel India Corporation over at C 121 in JVTS Garden. It’s a New Delhi address, but it feels like its own little corner. The office isn't anything you’d see in a magazine. It’s a functional space where we spend most of our daylight hours. We’ve got some mismatched chairs and a table that’s seen a lot of coffee spills over the years. That’s just how it is when you’re busy working. The area around JVTS Garden is mostly residential, so it’s quieter than the main commercial hubs. We like that. It means we can actually hear ourselves think when we’re going over the technical details of a job. There’s a lot of paperwork involved in what we do, so there are usually stacks of it on every flat surface. We don't have a receptionist or a big lobby. If the bell rings, whoever is closest to the door gets it. It’s a very informal way of running things, but it works for us. We aren't interested in sounding corporate or acting like we are bigger than we are. We are just a group of people who know how to do this specific type of work. The days are long sometimes, but the atmosphere is relaxed enough that nobody minds too much. We’ve been at this location for a good bit of time and know the area well.
