Our office is situated in Janakpuri, New Delhi, at A3 67. If you are familiar with the 110058 zip code area, you know it’s a bustling part of the city. We work out of a fairly typical building for this neighborhood. We are a part of Engineers India Limited and we handle various tasks from this location. It’s not the kind of place with a fancy lobby or elevators that talk to you. You just walk in and you're in the middle of where the work happens. There are blueprints spread across tables and folders stacked high on almost every flat surface. We have a few windows that look out onto the street, so we can see the daily life of Janakpuri moving by. The lighting inside is a bit bright, but it keeps us awake during those long afternoons of checking data. We aren't big on corporate polish here. The furniture is a bit mismatched and the floor has some scuff marks, but it’s a comfortable place to spend the day. Most of us have been working together for a while, so there’s a lot of casual talk in between the serious engineering discussions. We keep a stash of tea and sugar in the small cupboard in the back. It’s a straightforward setup where the focus is entirely on the projects we have at hand. No one is trying to impress anyone; we just want to finish the work accurately and honestly.
