Electronics A. P. is Shop number 12 in the Arya Samaj Mandir Market, over in Ramesh Nagar. It’s a small shop in a very busy market. Being near the temple means there are always people walking past the window. We have a lot of stuff packed into a small area. There are shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, filled with bits and pieces. You have to be careful when you're moving around so you don't knock anything over. I’ve been working here at shop 12 for years. Ramesh Nagar is a lively place to be. The market has its own rhythm. We know the other shop owners well, and we often chat over the low walls between shops. The shop itself is a bit old-fashioned. We still have a heavy metal shutter that’s a pain to lift in the morning. Inside, it smells a bit like solder and old dust. We don't have air conditioning, just a ceiling fan that wobbles a little when it’s on high. It does the job, though. Most of our day is spent looking at small parts or talking to people who drop in with something that stopped working. It isn't a high-tech showroom with bright lights. It’s a workshop where we use our hands. We keep it simple and just stay focused on the repairs and the customers who come by the market. It is how we have always done things.
