Chand Singh

My name is Chand Singh. I am located at D-9A in Mohan Garden, which is part of Uttam Nagar in New Delhi. This part of Delhi is very packed and there is always something going on in the streets. I’ve been working from this address for a good number of years. It’s a small space, nothing like the big offices you see in the movies. I have my desk, a couple of chairs for when people visit, and my shelves are full of old files and books. I started this business because I wanted to stay in the neighborhood and not have to travel three hours every day. It's a simple life. I open up the shutters in the morning and see the street vendors starting their day. I don't have a fancy website or a marketing person. I just talk to people and do the work they ask me to do. Sometimes the internet is slow or the street noise is too much, but you get used to it. I'm a one-man show for the most part. I write things down in my register and then put them into the computer later. It’s a bit slow but it works for me. I’m not trying to grow into a massive company. I just want to keep doing what I’m doing and help out my customers as best as I can. It’s a local business for local people. Most of the people who come to me have been living in Mohan Garden as long as I have.
