Balaji Departmental Store

This is Balaji Departmental Store, located at Shop 39 in the DDA market here in Paschim Vihar. We have been in this GH-9 block for quite some time now. Delhi gets very busy, and our little corner in the market is no different. We stock all the usual things families need for their kitchens. Rice, pulses, soaps, and those small items that run out in the middle of the week. It is not a huge supermarket, just a local store where we know most of our customers by their names. Sometimes the delivery guys leave crates in the way, but we try to move them quickly. People from the nearby flats come down in the evenings to pick up milk or bread. It gets a bit cramped when too many people come in at once. We do not really do any advertisements. People just know we are here. My brother and I manage the counter most days. We try to keep everything in stock so nobody has to go somewhere else. The shelves are a bit high, so we have to use a small stool to reach the top. We have been part of this community for many years. It is just a simple life running a shop in Delhi. We handle the billing ourselves and sometimes have a chat about the weather. It is just a regular neighborhood spot for everyone living around Paschim Vihar.
