We’ve been running B M Machine Tools from the second floor of Milap Market in Hari Nagar for quite some time now. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs, but once you get here, it’s a lot quieter than the street level. We focus on various machine tools that local workshops and small factories need to keep their operations going. The space isn't huge, so we have to be very careful about where we put things. It’s mostly just metal parts, heavy boxes, and the smell of oil. We don’t have a receptionist or a fancy waiting area for people. Usually, you’ll just find one of us sorting through stock or talking on the phone with a supplier. We’ve stayed in this spot because it’s a good location for our regulars. They know where to find us. Some days are really busy and the phone won't stop ringing, while other days we just spend time organizing the shelves. We don’t use any complicated systems here. It’s all very manual and straightforward. If we have the tool you’re looking for, we’ll get it for you. If not, we try to get it soon. We like the community in Hari Nagar. It’s a mix of people who have been here for decades and some newer faces. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs to be done every day without making a big fuss about it. It’s just how we run things here on the second floor.
