Ashiana Furnishers is located over in Mansarovar Garden, specifically in Ashiana Tower. We’ve been at C-13 for a long time. Being near Mayapuri Chowk means there is always a lot of traffic and noise outside. We deal with all kinds of furniture. The warehouse gets pretty full, so we are often moving sofas and tables around to make room. It’s hard work and your hands get dirty from the wood and the tools. We aren't the kind of place with a big, shiny showroom. We just have our space in the tower where we get the work done. Some days are slow, and other days we can't keep up with the orders coming in. We’ve got a couple of guys who have been with us since the start. We mostly talk about wood types and fabric patterns all day. The elevator in the building can be a bit slow when we're trying to move stuff. We just deal with it. It’s a practical business. We aren't trying to be anything fancy. We just make the furniture and send it out. People around here know us from being in the neighborhood so long. Sometimes we just sit and have tea when the afternoon heat gets too much. Then we get back to the sawing and the stapling. It’s just how we run things. We don't worry about the small stuff.
