Ambalal Sarabhai Pharma

Ambalal Sarabhai Pharma is our small shop over at Wz 107 in Meenakshi Garden. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it’s usually quieter than the big commercial hubs. We like it that way. Most of our day is spent talking to the people who live in the surrounding blocks. The shop isn't very large, so we have to be clever about where we put everything. We’ve got shelves lining every wall, filled with all sorts of packets and jars. It’s a bit of a maze back there behind the counter. We don't have a big team, so we do everything ourselves, from cleaning the glass to placing orders with the wholesalers. Meenakshi Garden has a nice pace to it. We see the same people walking their dogs or going to the market every day. The shop has a bit of an old smell to it, a mix of paper and disinfectant, which I guess is normal for a pharmacy. We don't use any high-tech systems; it's mostly just memory and a few handwritten lists. Sometimes we get a bit behind on the filing, and there’s a stack of papers waiting for us at the end of the week. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just here to make sure our neighbors can find what they need. It’s a small, local business and we’re happy with how things are.
