Bramhandnayak Agro Producer Companylimited

We are over here in Sonwal, which is part of the Januna area in Washim. Most people know us through Sunil B. Rathod since the work mostly happens out of his place in Ward Number 2. It isn't a big fancy office or anything like that. We started Bramhandnayak Agro Producer Companylimited because we needed a way to organize what we were growing around here. It gets tough when you are just one farmer trying to figure out where to sell or how to get things moved. So a bunch of us from the village got together to handle the crops. We spend a lot of time talking about the weather and the soil in Sonwal. Sometimes the rain doesn't come when it should, and other times we have too much of it. Sunil keeps the paperwork at his house and we meet there when we have to make decisions about the seeds or the harvest. It’s a lot of hard work in the fields every day. We don't have a big marketing team or people in suits. It is just local folks who know how to farm. We are trying to make sure the produce from our part of Washim gets to where it needs to go without too much trouble. It is a slow process but we are getting used to how the business side of things works now. It feels different than just farming for ourselves like our fathers did. We keep at it every single day.
