Venkateswarlu Auto Services is located over in Gundamrajupally, right in Narsimhulapet. It is basically just a large shed where we spend our time working on whatever vehicles happen to pull into the yard. Mostly it’s the tractors from the nearby farms and the local autos that need a bit of help to keep going. We spend a whole lot of time with grease under our fingernails and on our clothes. It’s definitely not a clean place to work, but we have the tools we need to get things running again. If someone’s bike has a flat tire or an engine is making a weird knocking sound, they usually bring it here to see what’s wrong. We don't have a fancy waiting room with chairs or anything like that. People usually just stand around in the yard and watch us work or they go home and come back later in the day. The sun gets pretty hot out here, so we try to do the heavy engine work under the shade of the roof when we can. Sometimes we have to wait a couple of days for parts to come in from the bigger towns nearby, which can be annoying. It's just how it goes when you're working out here. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so everyone knows who we are. It’s just us fixing what’s broken so people can get back to their farms or their regular jobs. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy.
