Viskhapatnam Steel Plant

We are based out of Quarter Number 406 C in Sector XI. This is part of the Ukkunagaram township for the Viskhapatnam Steel Plant. Living and working here is a bit different because everyone is connected to the plant in some way. It’s a big area with lots of sectors, but Sector XI is where we spend our time. The house is standard for the colony, nothing too special. We have a small yard and some trees nearby. You can always hear the hum of the plant in the distance if you listen close enough. We handle a lot of the day-to-day stuff from here. It's not a formal office with a glass front, just a place in the residential quarters. People drop by after their shifts to talk about work or just to say hello. The roads around here are wide and usually pretty quiet. We have our routines, like getting the milk in the morning and heading over to the main gates when needed. It’s a community of workers, really. We don't have fancy brochures or anything. We just know the steel business and we've been here for years. It's home for us, and the work is just part of being in Ukkunagaram. It’s a simple life, focused on the plant and the people we work with every single day. We just get on with things and try to keep everything running smoothly.
