We’re located in Visakhapatnam, specifically at Pl.No.103 & 104 in the Vizag Profile Towers. This is out in the Kurmannapalem area, which is a major hub for industry in this part of the country. Steel Exchange India Ltd. has been operating from here for a good while. Even though we are in a tower, our heart is really in the steel trade. We handle a lot of logistics and coordination for metal shipments. The office is usually a bit cluttered with papers, shipping manifests, and samples of ore or finished steel. It’s a busy atmosphere with phones ringing quite a bit. Being in Vizag, we are close to the ports and the big plants, which makes life a lot easier for what we do. We aren't really the type to wear suits and ties every day. It’s more of a short-sleeve shirt kind of place. We talk to truck drivers, plant managers, and suppliers all day long. Sometimes the heat in Kurmannapalem can be a bit much, but the office stays relatively cool. We just focus on getting the steel from point A to point B without too many hiccups. There’s always some challenge with transport or prices changing, but we just deal with it as it comes. It’s a straightforward business built on knowing the local market and the people who work in it. We just keep things moving and try to stay organized amid the daily chaos.
