Star Fine Machine Cutting Works

Star Fine Machine Cutting Works is based in Visakhapatnam, right in the 530001 area. The name sounds a bit more technical than just a regular barber shop, and that’s because we really focus on using the machines and clippers to get everything lined up right. We don't have a very long address, just the city and the pincode, but we've been in this spot long enough that most locals can point you our way. The shop has a bit of a mechanical feel to it, with the sound of the clippers always buzzing in the background. We keep a lot of different attachments for the machines so we can get the length exactly how someone asks for it. The walls are painted a simple white, though they could probably use a new coat soon since they’ve started to yellow near the ceiling. We have a heavy metal door that we roll up every morning to start the day. There’s a small bench outside for when it gets too full inside. We don't use a lot of scissors, mostly just for the very top bits of hair. The rest is all machine work. It’s a noisy, busy little place but we like the energy of it. We keep our tools clean and our hands steady, and that’s pretty much the whole story of what we do here in Vizag.
