Sri Srinivasa Sheet Metal Works

Our workshop is at 2-3-156 on Waltair Main Road in Siripuram. It’s a place where there is almost always the sound of metal being hammered or cut. Sheet metal work is noisy by nature, so we are used to talking a bit louder than most people. The shop opens right onto the main road, which means we see a lot of people passing by all day. We have stacks of metal sheets leaning against the walls, sorted by thickness and type. It’s a bit of a maze if you don't know your way around. We do a lot of custom bending and shaping, which involves a lot of trial and error sometimes. Our hands have plenty of small nicks and callouses from the sharp edges. We don't wear suits or have a fancy reception area. Usually, you’ll find us in our work clothes covered in a bit of grease or metal filings. We’ve been in Siripuram for years, and the shop has become a familiar sight for the locals. Sometimes the heat from the machines and the sun makes the air inside quite thick. We just drink plenty of water and keep at it. It’s honest work that requires a steady hand and a bit of patience. We take things one order at a time. It’s not about being the biggest, just about doing the work that comes in through the door every morning.
