You can find us up on the 3rd floor of the Vnr Tower, which is Door 39-10-5 in the Labbipet area. It is a bit different being in an office building rather than a ground-floor yard, but we still handle all the Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd. business for this side of town. The elevator sometimes takes a while, so we often end up taking the stairs when we are in a hurry. From up here, you can see a bit of the street traffic below. It is mostly desk work for us, handling the orders and making sure the logistics for the cement deliveries are sorted out. We have a few desks and some filing cabinets that have seen better days. It is not a shiny, modern office with glass walls; it is just a place where we sit and get the job done. The fans stay on all day to keep the air moving. We talk to dealers and site managers on the phone for hours at a time. Labbipet is a busy part of the city, so there is always a lot of noise coming from the street through the windows. We drink a lot of coffee and try to stay on top of the paperwork so the trucks at the warehouse don't get delayed. It is just the usual office routine, making sure the numbers match up and the customers are getting their loads on time.
