Out in Budawada, near Jaggayyapet, you will find the Jp Balaji Cement Plant. We are located in the Vijaywada area of Andhra Pradesh. Cement is a dusty, heavy business, and that is exactly what our daily life looks like. The plant is where all the action happens. It is loud and there is always something moving, whether it is raw materials coming in or cement bags going out. We don’t have a fancy corporate office with air conditioning everywhere. It’s a work site, plain and simple. Most of the people here are from the local village or nearby towns. We’ve been working this land for a while now. Sometimes the machinery breaks down and we have to spend the whole day fixing it, which is just part of the routine. We don’t use any marketing speak because cement doesn't really need it. It’s a basic building material, and we just focus on making it. The roads around Budawada can get pretty rough, especially when the big trucks are moving in and out all day. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s honest work that helps build things. If you come out towards Jaggayyapet, you can’t miss the plant. We are there every day, covered in dust and making sure the cement gets produced. It’s a simple life and a simple business for all of us.
