Anjani Portland Cements Limited

We spend most of our time out here in Mattampally. It’s quite a distance from the main city, situated in the Nalgonda District of Andhra Pradesh. Being at Anjani Portland Cements Limited means dealing with a lot of dust and heavy machinery day in and day out. The sun gets pretty hot over here in this part of India, but the work has to move forward. People around here know us as just another part of the landscape. We have trucks coming in and out at all hours, carrying the bags. It isn't a fancy setup with glass walls or anything like that. It is just a regular place where we get things done. Some of the guys have been working here for years and they know every corner of the yard. We mostly just keep our heads down and handle the daily grind. Sometimes the power goes out or the roads get a bit muddy after the rain, but that is just how it is in Mattampally. You learn to live with it. We don't really have a big fancy reception, just a desk and some chairs where people come to talk business. It is a loud place because of the grinding, but you get used to the noise after a while. Most of us live nearby, so it’s a short commute on the bike. We try to keep things simple here. Nothing too complicated, just cement and hard work. Anyway, that is what life looks like at our plant.
