Assistant Professor

My name is J. Radhika Lakshmi and I work as an Assistant Professor. My father is J. Leela Krishna, and we are known around here as the steel merchants on Gannavaram Road in Kankipadu. It's in the Krishna District, a place where everyone kind of knows everyone else. Even though I have my academic career, the family business is right there on the main road. I spend a lot of my time balancing my teaching duties with the things that need to be done at home. It's a busy life, but it's honest work. The house is easy to find because of the steel shop. We have been here for a long time, and our roots are pretty deep in this community. I don't have a fancy website or any corporate bio. I'm just a teacher who happens to live behind a steel merchant shop. Life in Kankipadu is steady. You get to know your neighbors and the people who pass through on the road to Gannavaram. Sometimes the noise from the road is a bit much, but you get used to it. I focus on my students and making sure I'm prepared for my lectures. It’s a lot of reading and writing. We don't make a big deal out of things. We just keep moving forward one day at a time, doing what we're supposed to do. I often sit in the shop area during the holidays.
