Andhra Loyola College (Autonomous)

Our college is situated over by the Government Polytechnic Post. It’s been a part of this community for a long time now, and the buildings have that old, solid look to them. Being an autonomous institution means we have a lot of work to do on the administrative side, but the heart of the place is always the students. You’ll see hundreds of them walking through the gates every morning when the sun is still low. We don’t really go for fancy advertisements or anything like that. People know us because their parents or siblings came here. The staff room is usually a bit cluttered with papers and tea cups, and there is always a bit of a buzz in the hallways between classes. We spend our days making sure the schedules are followed and the grounds are kept somewhat tidy. It’s a big campus, so there’s always something that needs fixing or a lawn that needs mowing. We’ve seen many batches of students grow up and move on from here. It’s a steady kind of life, working in education. We aren’t trying to be the most modern place with glass walls; we just focus on the books and the teaching. Sometimes the power goes out or the rain makes the courtyards a bit messy, but we just get on with things. It’s a local landmark for many people in this area, and we are just here to keep things running properly for everyone.
