Thirumal Cements

This is Thirumal Cements. We are located over in Thekkupattu, near Puthu Kovil in Vaniyambadi. It’s a bit of a drive out here but the locals know us. We sell cement for building houses and walls. Most of our days are spent loading bags onto trucks or talking to contractors who stop by. It’s dusty work, as you can imagine with all the bags moving around. The shop isn't anything special to look at. Just a sturdy place to keep the inventory dry. We started this because there was a need for materials in this part of town. Vaniyambadi is growing and people are always building something. Sometimes the rain makes it hard to move the stock, but we deal with it. We don't have a huge staff. Just a couple of guys who know how to handle the heavy lifting. We stay busy enough. People come to us because we are right here in the neighborhood. We don't do much advertising. Mostly word of mouth around Puthu Kovil. It’s a simple way to earn a living. We’ve been at this spot for quite a while now. The morning sun hits the front of the shop early. We usually open up before the heat gets too bad. That's pretty much the daily routine for us. We keep a ledger on the desk to track everything. Sometimes we run out of a specific brand, but we order more right away.
