R Krishnaswamy Mudaliar & Sons is an old name in the Vellore Bazaar. We are located at 5 Marakadai Street. If you know the bazaar, we are right opposite Venus Lodge. It’s a very busy street, always full of people and carts. We have been in this spot for a very long time. My father and grandfather were here before me. It’s a family thing, really. We don't have a modern office with glass walls. Our shop is old and has a lot of character. We deal with whatever needs to be done in the bazaar. It's loud and dusty outside most of the time. We know all the other shopkeepers around here. It’s a tight community in the bazaar. We don't use much technology, just the basics to keep our accounts in order. We don't have a website or do any social media. People know us because we have been here for generations. We just open the doors early and stay until the sun goes down. Sometimes we sit out front and talk to the neighbors. It’s a simple life. We don't want to be a big corporation. We just want to keep the family name going and serve the people who come to the bazaar. That is what R Krishnaswamy Mudaliar & Sons is all about. It’s just us, working in the same spot on Marakadai Street for years.
