The Dacon Nursery And Primary School

Our little school is located at 2/244A on Hospital Road in Ponnai. It’s a quiet enough area near Timiri in the Vellore district. We’ve been operating out of this building for a while now, and it’s become a familiar spot for the parents living nearby. It isn’t a massive campus with stadiums or anything like that. It is just a modest building with a few rooms where the younger children start their first years of learning. We have a small play area that sees a lot of action during the morning breaks. You can hear the kids singing their rhymes from the street sometimes. The staff we have are mostly women from the local neighborhood who have a lot of patience for the little ones. We don't use a lot of big words or have fancy brochures. Most people find out about us just by walking past or talking to their neighbors. The classrooms are filled with drawings and colorful charts that we’ve put up to make the place look a bit more cheerful. On hot days, we make sure the fans are running and the kids have plenty of water. It’s a lot of responsibility looking after small children, but we just take it one day at a time. We keep the place clean, follow the local curriculum, and make sure everyone is headed home safely when the day ends. It’s a very local, down-to-earth kind of place.
