Akshara Vidhyashram Pre School

Akshara Vidhyashram Pre School is located at No 19, Thiyagarajapuram, which is in the Krishna Nagar area of Vellore. It is a quiet residential street, which is good for a pre-school. We have a lot of small children coming in every morning. The atmosphere is usually a mix of crying and laughing as the day starts. We’ve been at this Vellore location for a while, and most of the neighbors know us by now. The building is a typical house converted into a school space, so it feels a bit more like a home than a big institution. We have colorful walls and small chairs everywhere. The staff spends their time organizing games and trying to teach the kids their basics. Krishna Nagar is a nice part of town, and we feel lucky to be tucked away on Thiyagarajapuram. There is always a lot of cleaning up to do, especially after lunch or art time. We don't have any fancy corporate backing; it's just a local school run by people who live nearby. Parents stop by to chat when they pick up their toddlers, and we share updates on how the day went. It is a simple life here in Vellore. We just focus on the children and making sure they have a decent place to spend their morning hours while learning how to be around other kids.
