Shemrock Poppins Play School

You can find us over at No 339 Phase III on Oasis Road. We are located in the Sathuvacheri part of Vellore. This is a play school, so most of our days are filled with the sounds of very young children. We have set up the rooms with lots of mats, blocks, and colorful things to keep them occupied. It’s not a big, formal institution. It’s more of a cozy place where parents can leave their toddlers for a few hours. We spend a lot of time helping them learn to share and play together. The building is just a regular house that has been converted for the kids. We have a small area for them to run around outside, but it’s mostly indoor activities. There is always a bit of a mess with toys scattered on the floor or spilled juice, but that is part of the job. We don’t use any complicated teaching methods. We just sing songs, tell stories, and let them be kids. Most of the families who come to us live right here in Sathuvacheri. We know most of the parents by name. It’s a very local, friendly spot. We aren't trying to be the most modern school in the world. We just want a safe place for the little ones to spend their morning. It’s simple and we like it that way. We just do our best.
