My School Italy

You can find us at number 66 on the Katpadi Main Road here in Vellore. The traffic on this road is almost always heavy, so there’s a lot of honking outside our front door in Virudhambattu. Despite the name My School Italy, we’re very much a local Vellore operation through and through. We’ve got a small team here who handles everything from teaching to cleaning up after the lunch break. The building is a bit older, and the paint might be peeling in a few corners, but it’s a comfortable enough place for the kids to spend their day. We focus a lot on the basics because that’s what the parents here want. There aren't any high-tech gadgets in every room, just chalkboards and books and a lot of talking. We have a small area for the kids to stretch their legs, though it’s not exactly a park. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to open all the windows to catch a breeze. It’s just the way things go in this part of town. We’ve been part of this community for a while now, and most people know us just by walking past on their way to the station. It’s a busy life on the main road, but we manage to keep things organized enough for the students to learn something useful every day.
