Foreview Bricks Manufacture

Our place is over at Plot No.191 on Mm Temple Street in Village Arakkonam. It’s out in the Vallarapuram district, so it’s a bit away from the main city noise. We spend the whole day making bricks. It’s what we know how to do. The site is pretty big, and we have the rows of bricks laid out to dry in the sun. It takes time and you can’t rush it. Sometimes the wind picks up and blows dust everywhere, which is just part of living in Arakkonam. We have a few guys who have been with us for years, and we just get the work done together. Foreview Bricks Manufacture isn't a big corporation or anything like that. We just own the plot and run the kilns. When the temple nearby has a festival, the street gets real crowded and we usually have to slow down. It’s a quiet life for the most part. We sell to people building small houses or walls in the area. They come by with their tractors and we help them load up. There isn't much to say about it, it's just manual labor and keeping an eye on the quality of the clay. We stay open as long as there is light. Once it’s dark, we lock the gates and go home to our families. It’s a decent way to earn a living and the work is steady most months of the year.
